CATDOLL: Dark sci-fi novel "OVERLORD" confirmed to be adapted into a TV animation

The dark science fiction novel "OVERLORD" was announced to be adapted into an anime as early as last August, and now the follow-up information of the animation has finally been released. The animation of this work is confirmed to meet the audience in the form of a TV season, and the voice actors announced so far are all the luxurious lineup of the radio drama CD bundled with the special edition of the original volume 4.

The protagonist Momonga (later changed to Ainz Ooal Gown) is voiced by Hino Satoshi, and Albedo, the top NPC in the Great Underground Tomb of Nazarick, is voiced by Hara Yumi. Aura, one of the guardians of the 6th floor of Nazarick, is voiced by Kato Emiri, and another guardian of the floor, Mare, is voiced by Uchiyama Yumi. In addition, Uesaka Sumire, Miyake Kenta, Kato Masayuki, Chiba Shigeru, and Numakura Manami have also confirmed that they will participate in the dubbing work of the TV animation. More information about the TV animation will be announced on the stage of "AnimeJapan2015" held on March 22, and voice actors Hino Satoshi, Hara Yumi, Uesaka Sumire, Kato Emiri, and Uchiyama Yumi will also be present.

"OVERLORD" is a light novel written by Maruyama Kugane, and the illustrations of the novel version were drawn by so-bin. Eight volumes of the single volume have been released so far, and the cumulative sales have already exceeded 400,000 copies.

The work mainly tells the story of a day when a popular VRMMORPG game "YGGDRASIL" will stop all services, but even after the end time, players will not exit the game, and NPCs have their own thoughts. While waiting for the system to force log out, the protagonist Suzuki Satoru, who loves video games in the real world, accidentally travels to a different world with the members of the "Ainz Ooal Gown" guild, and he also becomes the strongest magician with a skeleton appearance - "Flying Squirrel". In this way, the real fantasy legend officially begins.
