CATDOLL: Are the five classic comics that accompanied the post-90s generation out of favor now?

Today we will talk about five Japanese anime works that were once very popular, including "Dragon Ball", "Slam Dunk", "Yu Yu Hakusho", "Sailor Moon", and "Itazura na Kiss". I believe that for students in grades 6 and 7, these are all very familiar, but is this also true for the younger generation who are now in their 20s? Today's "Have you read the five classic comics?" survey is the result of a Japanese website interviewing current college students (about 400 people). Let's take a look at it together.

First of all, it is the Japanese national anime "Dragon Ball". Frankly speaking, I am very happy to see the work I liked when I was a child being animated again. Although the plot of Black Goku is a bit long, the good family has helped everyone to edit him (although he may be beaten up again), but this is a digression! This work is very popular both in Japan and abroad. In fact, in today's survey, the proportion is considered to be the majority. Among the 171 people who have watched it, 103 are male and 68 are female. There are 230 people who have not watched it, including 97 males and 133 females. As expected, the males are more popular. There is no way~ This is a fighting work www

Next is the exciting Slam Dunk. It was not easy for sports comics to gain a foothold in the market, but Slam Dunk did it. Although I don’t know how popular it was in Japan, many people in Taiwan fell in love with basketball and started playing basketball because of animation and comics. So do modern Japanese college students know this work and have read it? According to the survey, only 123 people have read it (65 boys and 58 girls), while 278 people have not read it (135 boys and 143 girls).

Next is Togashi-sensei's work "Yu Yu Hakusho", which did not have such a big delay problem back then. In fact, I still think it is very good through the current TV station replay, but for modern young people, this work is not as attractive as it was back then. Only 94 people have watched it (50 boys/44 girls), and 307 people have not watched it (150 boys/157 girls).

What about Sailor Moon, which used to have a niche in the female market? In fact, it is still a good work in the eyes of college students today, and it also has good support among girls. 107 people have watched it (34 boys and 73 girls), and 294 people have not watched it (166 boys and 128 girls).

Finally, it's Itazura na Kiss. I also got to know this drama through Japanese TV series. The series starring Takashi Kashiwabara and Aiko Sato was really popular. So since it can be adapted into a TV series and is loved by everyone, it is obviously a proof of its popularity. But are the number of people watching it still the same as before? According to statistics, only 88 people have watched it (29 boys and 59 girls), and 313 people have not watched it (171 boys and 142 girls). Judging from the data, it has indeed decreased a lot.
