The April issue of the academic magazine "Megumi" announced that the manga "Little Challenger: Wake Up, Girls! -side I-1club-" drawn by UGE will be completed in the next issue of the magazine to be published on March 30. The manga "Little Challenger: Wake Up, Girls! -side I-1club-" was written by Yamamoto Kan and Daida Douko, and illustrated by UGE. It was serialized in the May 2013 issue of Gakuen Magazine "Megumi". The main character of the manga is Takako Rika, a 5th-generation rookie from "I-1club", a rival of the girl group "Wake Up, Girls!" in the original work "Wake Up, Girls!". Gakuen published the first volume of the manga in September last year. Wake Up, Girls!, also known as WUG, is an original idol animation co-produced by Ordet and Tatsunoko Productions. The TV version of the animation and the theatrical version Wake Up, Girls! Seven Idols were released on January 10, 2014. The second theatrical version is scheduled to be released in 2015 and will be produced independently by Ordet. |
