However, recently, the copyright holder of "High Speed ​​Train" Takara Tomy Toy Company is thinking about trains again. This time, it has launched the Shinkansen High Speed ​​Train Project in cooperation with the famous comic publisher Shogakukan. It decided to turn the Shinkansen E5 series train into a transformable robot and launched an animated short film for this purpose!

The Shinkansen E5 series robot launched this time still follows the routine of Iron Train Man, but this time it has obviously been completely renewed and has become a high-end mecha template. The story is roughly that when the city encounters a crisis, the Shinkansen E5 series will depart from the station and transform into a super robot to fight the enemy. However, it looks like there is a strong sense of déjà vu, such as Macross. The two works seem to have similar settings.

The E5 series Shinkansen electric multiple unit is a 10-car Shinkansen train used by East Japan Railway Company (JR East). It is currently running on the Tohoku Shinkansen line between Tokyo and Shin-Aomori as Hayabusa. A total of 59 units are scheduled to be built. Technology tested on the JR East test vehicle Fastech 360S will be incorporated into this series of vehicles. The maximum operating speed will be 320 km/h, but the maximum operating speed will remain at 300 km/h until 2013.
