CATDOLL: Popular action game Devil May Cry anime adaptation banned due to violence

Recently, the Ministry of Culture has completed the rectification of Japanese animations on major video websites, including "Devil May Cry", an animation adapted from Capcom's famous game, which was also banned due to its violent and bloody content.

The animated version of "Devil May Cry" is produced by MADHOUSE based on the game series "Devil May Cry" and began broadcasting on WOWOW on June 14, 2008, with a total of 12 episodes.

The male protagonist is the same as in Devil May Cry 1 to Devil May Cry 3, Dante, a demon hunter with the blood of the legendary swordsman. The animated version is full of unique characters. The heroines Tracy and Lady from the Devil May Cry games will appear one after another, in addition to original characters such as the little girl Patty. The production of the Devil May Cry animation is in charge of MADHOUSE, which has produced works such as DEATH NOTE, NANA, Monster Princess and Oedo Rocket. Compared with the Devil May Cry games that have always used English throughout, the animated version hired Japanese voice actors for the first time to complete the dubbing work in the work, and the voice of the protagonist Dante is the famous voice actor Morikawa Tomoyuki.
