The comic magazine "Comic Birz" published by Gentosha announced in its June issue on Thursday that Rensuke Oshikiri, the author of "High Score Girl", will start a new series "Guranba" in the July issue of the magazine to be released on May 30. The introduction of this comic is "Rensuke Oshikiri's most authentic black passion bursts out! The oldest female hero x survival instinct!" Shueisha's manga magazine Jump Square also announced on Saturday that Rensuke Oshikiri will publish a one-chapter traditional fantasy short story Hell Fire in the July issue of the magazine, which will be released on June 6. Rensuke Oshikiri has been serializing "High Score Girl" in Square Enix's magazine "Big Gangan" since 2011. The story is set in the 1990s fighting game craze. It tells the story of the encounter between the male protagonist "Yaguchi Haruo" and the female protagonist "Oono Akira" caused by the game "Street Fighter II" that triggered the craze. However, due to copyright disputes with several game developers, it was suspended last year. "High Score Girl" had announced the news of animation before it was suspended.
