CATDOLL: Doraemon voice actor Enyo Oyama diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease

According to Japanese media reports, Oyama Enyo (78 years old), the voice actor who voiced Doraemon in the animation "Doraemon", has been confirmed to have Alzheimer's disease (commonly known as senile dementia). It is reported that Oyama had a sudden stroke in 2008. According to her husband, Keisuke Sunagawa, this may be the sequelae of the stroke. Although Oyama is currently in good health, she forgets what she just said, cannot cook, and cannot take a bath by herself.

Oyama Enyo has been active in the voice actor industry since the 1970s. She has played many roles in early animations, such as Kamishippei in the TV animation "Invincible Superman Zanbot 3" and Harris in "Harris's Tornado". Her healthy and unique voice often voices shota (little boy) type characters. As for her representative work "Doraemon", although she is not the first voice actor responsible for playing Doraemon, her outstanding and superb acting skills make the image of Doraemon vivid, and she also played the same role in a series of theatrical versions of the work.
