CATDOLL: Yowamushi Pedal's new movie adds voice actor Mamoru Miyano

The 26th issue of Weekly Shonen Champion, a magazine published by Akita Shoten, revealed that the character of Yowamushi Pedal, which will be released on August 28, will be played by the popular voice actor Mamoru Miyano, who has voiced characters such as Suou Tamaki from Ouran High School Host Club, Light Yagami from Death Note, Setsuna F. Kiyoe from Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Masaomi Kida from Durarara!, Rintaro Okabe (Kyouma Hououin) from Steins;Gate, Tokiya Ichinose from Uta no Prince-sama, and Rin Matsuoka from Free!.

The latest animated theatrical version of "Yowamushi Pedal" will be an original story written by the original author Watanabe Watanabe himself.

Yowamushi Pedal is a manga about bicycle racing drawn by Japanese manga artist Watanabe Watanabe. It was serialized in Weekly Shonen Champion No. 12 in 2008. As of August 2014, 37 volumes of the book have been published. In August 2014, the cumulative sales exceeded 10 million copies. The work tells the story of Onoda Sakamichi, a boy who loves anime and joins the bicycle club, and sprints towards the championship of the high school league with the members.
