"Heavy Weapon" is a light novel published by ASCII Media Works on October 10, 2009. Eight volumes of the single volume have been released so far. The official abbreviation of the work is "HO", which is the second long work of Kamachi Kazuma after "A Certain Magical Index". The story of this work takes place on the future Earth where the form of war and the world situation have changed drastically.
