CATDOLL: The latest stage play of Saiyuki in 2015 will be performed on September 17

The latest 2015 stage play "Saiyuki Opera" adapted from the manga "Saiyuki" will be staged at the Sunshine Theater in Japan on September 17. Today (June 19), the official website of the stage play "Saiyuki Opera" also updated the latest information simultaneously.

There have been many works of Saiyuki Opera before, and the main actors of this new work are not much different from the previous ones. Suzuki Hiroki continues to play Sanzang, Shiina Taizo plays Sun Wukong, Ayukawa Taiyo plays Sha Wujing, and Fujiwara Yuki plays Zhu Bajie.

The manga "Saiyuki" (original name: Gensomaden Saiyuki) written by Japanese manga artist Kazuya Minekura is a fantasy adventure story that uses the names of characters from "Journey to the West", one of the four great Chinese classics, and is slightly related to "Journey to the West". This work has been adapted into an animated version produced by Studio Pierrot. The full series currently has four stories: "Gensomaden Saiyuki" 50 episodes, "Saiyuki Reload" 25 episodes, "Saiyuki Reload Gunlock" 26 episodes, "Saiyuki Burial" 3 episodes and "Saiyuki Gaiden" 4 episodes, which are broadcast on Tokyo TV.
