CATDOLL: Red Ash crowdfunding has exceeded $150,000 and the animation version has been confirmed

In early July, comcept led by Keiji Inafune and animation production company STUDIO4℃ launched a crowdfunding campaign for the animated version of "Red Ash –Magicicada-". As of now, the crowdfunding of this work has stopped on the American crowdfunding website Kickstarter with an amount exceeding the target of 150,000 US dollars (about 931,300 RMB). However, the final goal is still a long way to go, and now it has started a crowdfunding campaign on the Japanese website Motion Gallery.

The length of the animation of "Red Ash –Magicicada-" will be determined by the funds raised. The ultimate goal of the crew is to raise 300 million yen (about 14.97 million yuan) to produce a 90-minute theatrical animation. Now, the production cost of this work has been raised from 1,869 people through Kickstarter, which has raised 162,882 US dollars (about 1,011,302 yuan). Although the animation project has been announced to start, it is still some distance away from the production of the theatrical animation, so this work will continue to raise funds from Japanese users on the Japanese website Motion Gallery from now on.

In addition, the anime version of Red Ash –Magicicada- has already announced that Yuki Kaji, the voice actor of the protagonist Allen in Attack on Titan, will appear in this work. Other voice actors will be selected based on the votes of investors. As long as you contribute 1,000 yen (about 50 yuan), you can enjoy the right to vote for voice actors.
