CATDOLL: Bullet screen website Acfun received 300 million yuan in financing from Youku Tudou, targeting core users

Today (August 6), the bullet screen video website AcFun (AcFun) announced the completion of its first round of financing, with a financing scale of 50 million US dollars. This round of financing was led by Youku Tudou Group (formerly Youku Tudou Group), and AcFun said that all funds have been in place.

Sun Min, CEO of A站, said: The financing will be used for the purchase and cooperation of copyrighted content, as well as investment and self-production of high-quality animation content, online dramas, movies, TV series, etc. Gu Yongqiang, Chairman and CEO of Tudou Group, said that he will provide traffic and bandwidth support for A站, as well as add more copyrighted content. In addition, he will cooperate with A站 in various fields such as self-production of animation, film and television dramas, and development of the entire IP industry chain in the future.

A站 and Youku Tudou had a copyright dispute. Previously, the copyright dispute between Youku, the lead investor, and A站 and the high cost of infringement compensation had been exposed many times. This capital marriage may mean the formal settlement of the copyright dispute between the two parties. Shao Jun, vice president of Youku Tudou Investment, said that the cooperation between Youku Tudou and Acfun will focus on the fields of self-made animation, film and television dramas, and IP full industry chain development; through cooperation with five companies including Acfun, Youku Tudou is said to build China's largest professional content interest community.
