CATDOLL: "Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju" broadcast information and CD released

The popular manga "Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju" will be adapted into an animation and will be broadcast in January 2016. The animation has now been scheduled to be broadcast on MBS' late-night animation slot "アニメイズム".

The OAD music CD "Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuku Onkyoku 1" will be released on October 7. In addition to the accompaniment music when the Rakugoka appear in the OAD, the CD also includes Rakugo performed by luxurious voice actors, including "Death God" by Ishida Akira (Yurakutei Yakumo) and "Descending Heart" by Seki Tomokazu (Yotaro). I believe everyone will enjoy a feast for the ears. The first edition also comes with an application serial number for the event, but the detailed information of the event has not been disclosed yet. The CD is now accepting reservations and is priced at 2,700 yen (tax included).

"Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju" is a manga by Japanese manga artist Kumota Haruko. The TV animation takes place during the Showa and Genroku periods, and mainly describes the complex interpersonal relationships of storytellers (rakugoka). Characters full of personality will appear in this work, including the aloof daimyo Yakumo, Yotaro who insists on becoming his apprentice, and Koharu, the posthumous child of Sukeroku, an ally of Yakumo, who is known as the "unparalleled daimyo".
