CATDOLL: Production IG obtains copyright of animation "FLCL" and is suspected of remaking it

Recently, the famous Japanese animation production company Production IG announced that it has obtained the copyright of the original animation "FLCL". If nothing unexpected happens, IG may adapt, remake or theatrically produce this original GAINAX animation, and of course, it is also possible to launch an original sequel. FLCL is the first supervised work of EVA deputy supervisor Kazuya Tsurumaki, with a total of 6 episodes. The announcement released today stated that the original author GAINAX has transferred the original rights, so Production IG has obtained the copyright of the work and can remake the new animation.

The original work of FLCL was an animation produced in 2000, jointly created by GAINAX and Production IG. A total of six episodes of OVA were produced, in which many well-known animation practitioners in the industry can be seen, such as Hiroyuki Ishii, Masafumi Hiramatsu and others.
