CATDOLL: Idol TV animation "Plaster Boy" will be broadcast in January 2016

Idol themes are very important in Japanese anime nowadays, such as "Love Live!" and "The Idolmaster", which are extremely popular. Recently, Kadokawa, together with Zariganix and Holubin Art Materials, launched the plaster idol project "Plaster Boys" and produced a TV animation, which is scheduled to be broadcast in January 2016. "Plaster Boys" is the "world's first plaster idol group" that debuted in April 2015. The group members are four plaster statues that were selected from a large number of plaster statues. They have the two elements of "handsome men" and "newcomers". Their manager is a girl who just graduated from an art university a year ago. The animation describes their struggle in the entertainment industry.

It is reported that "Plaster Boy" will be jointly directed by the industry-renowned screenwriter "Michiko Yokote" and the painter "Ito Ioriko", and it is believed that it will be an idol animation with a unique style.
