"Neon Genesis Evangelion" is regarded as a masterpiece by many comic fans! It has been 20 years since the first episode was broadcast on TV. Although that generation has grown up, this work still has a profound impact!

To commemorate the 20th anniversary, the official website has decided that at the same time of 17:30 on October 4, 8 street screens in five cities across Japan and NICONICO will broadcast the first episode of "Neon Genesis Evangelion" "Apostle Attack" simultaneously.

Introduction to Neon Genesis Evangelion:

In 2000, a scientific expedition team conducted an expedition in Antarctica targeting the "Giant of Light" known as the "First Angel" Adam. During a contact experiment, the "Giant of Light" self-destructed, resulting in the "Second Impact" and leading to a world war. In the end, the world's population was halved, the earth's axis deflected, and the climate changed. Based on the investigation of the "Second Impact", the United Nations established the Artificial Evolution Research Institute (GEHIRN) in Hakone, Japan to conduct research on the development of EVA. Later, GEHIRN used the huge cavity found under the Artificial Evolution Research Institute to build its headquarters.

On the other hand, SEELE, a secret organization under the United Nations, began to implement the Human Instrumentality Project in order to make humans evolve. The goal is to bring all people's souls together, neutralize each person's AT force field, and return everyone to the LCL Sea.

In 2004, an accident occurred during the startup test of EVA Unit-01, and Shinji Ikari's mother Ikari Yui disappeared. Ikari Gendō began to implement the "Ikari Gendō version of the Human Completion Plan". In 2010, GEHIRN was converted into NERV.

Starting in 2015, according to the SEELE Human Completion Project scenario, an unknown giant creature "Angel" began to land in Japan and attack the NERV headquarters. NERV organized EVA to eliminate the Angel. Ikari Shinji was recalled by his father to drive EVA Unit-01 and met Rei Ayanami and others. While NERV was fighting the Angel, Ikari Gendō secretly carried out his own plan. As time went on, Ikari Gendō's plan was gradually discovered by SEELE, and conflicts arose between NERV and SEELE and continued to deteriorate. Finally, the conflict between NERV and SEELE intensified. SEELE falsely claimed that NERV attempted to trigger the Third Impact and instigated the League of Nations to send troops to eliminate NERV. After the League of Nations occupied NERV, SEELE launched the Human Completion Project.
