CATDOLL: "Dream Eaters" live-action movie box office exceeds 1.3 billion yen

The live-action movie adapted from the manga "Dream Eaters" by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata was released in Japan on October 3. According to Japanese statistics, the live-action movie "Dream Eaters" has been released for 25 days, with box office revenue exceeding 1.3 billion yen and the number of viewers reaching 1 million. This live-action movie was released in 324 theaters across Japan. In addition to Takeru Sato who plays the role of Mashiro Takashi and Ryunosuke Kamiki who plays Akito Takagi, the luxurious cast of actors such as Nana Komatsu, Kenta Kiritani, Takayuki Yamada, and Shota Sometani also added more highlights to the work.

"Dream Eater" is a collaboration between Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata after "Death Note". The protagonist is a boy who aims to be a manga artist. At the end of the first serialized volume, Ohba commented that he wanted to make simpler content. The protagonist Mashiro is a junior high school student. Like most people, he just wants to live his life as it comes. He has a talent for painting and has a crush on Azuki, who is in the same class. Takagi made a condition to Mashiro not to reveal his secret: I will write the script, you will paint, let's become manga artists together. For the sake of their dreams, the two embarked on the road to becoming manga artists.
