CATDOLL: Comic "Under the Pear Blossoms: The Story of Li Bai and Du Fu" - Tang Dynasty poets in the eyes of Japanese envoys to the Tang Dynasty

Japanese cartoonist Du Kangrun has decided to update a comic called "Under the Pear Blossoms: Li Bai and Du Fu's Story" on three platforms simultaneously: P站, ComicWalker, and Nico (expected to be updated every half month). The comic tells the life and creative stories of Du Fu and Li Bai from the perspective of Abe no Nakamaro, a famous Japanese envoy to the Tang Dynasty in the history of Sino-Japanese cultural exchanges, as well as the various social problems lurking behind their poems during the reign of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, and witnesses the crisis behind the heyday of the Tang Dynasty.

This is not the first time that Du Kangrun has adapted works based on ancient Chinese celebrities. Prior to this, he also drew and serialized the comic book "The Tale of Sun Tzu".

In addition, Du Kangrun has worked as an assistant for the comics "Fullmetal Alchemist" and "Beast God Enbu". Because he likes Chinese history, especially the history of the Three Kingdoms period, he came to Kunming, Yunnan to study for a year and visited the remains of Zhuge Liang's southern expedition.
