CATDOLL: The Sino-US co-produced animated film "Cinderella 3D" subverts the plot and does not target children

The fairy tale "Cinderella" has been adapted into various versions of movies, animations, stage plays, etc. It can be said that it is a household name! However, recently, the Chinese company Jinchuan Culture announced in Los Angeles that the project of co-producing the 3D animated film "Cinderella3D" with Hollywood has started in full swing after more than a year of preparation. Former Disney director Lynne Southerland (who directed "Mulan 2") and a team mainly composed of former Disney members have joined the production. The film is expected to be released globally at the end of 2016.

It is reported that "Cinderella 3D" released its first poster at the AFM (American Film Market) which ended this month in Los Angeles, attracting the attention of buyers from all over the world. As a classic story, "Cinderella" has been remade many times in history, both in 2D animation and live-action version, but only 3D animation has not appeared so far. Therefore, this movie will also be the first time that "Cinderella" will be released in 3D animation version.

As for the difference between the new movie and the traditional story, Jinchuan Culture producer Du Yang said that in the traditional story, girls are more or less instilled with the idea that as long as you are beautiful and lucky, you can wear gorgeous clothes and be appreciated by the prince. But in the new story, "Cinderella" still dresses up to attend the ball, and the prince still falls in love with her, but this prince is fake, proving that things that come too easily are mostly problematic. The real prince is actually a magic mouse living in her attic. Cinderella must use her wisdom and courage to overcome difficulties in order to save the mouse and gain hard-earned happiness.

The person in charge said that the main intention of cooperating with Hollywood is to make a family film, but not a simple film for young children. Both the story and the production must be liked by adults. For example, the relationship between Cinderella and the real prince went through a process from friendship to hazy love and finally back to friendship.
