"Mobile Suit Gundam UC" is a novel by Harutoshi Fukui that was serialized in "Gundam Ace" in February 2007. The character design of the novel was done by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, who had worked on the animations "Gundam Z" and "Gundam F91", and the machine design was done by Hajime Kadoki, who had worked on many Gundam works. The illustrations up to episode 9 were all done by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, and from episode 10 onwards, it was done by Kosuke Toraya. The timeline of the work is set in UC0096 between UC0093 (Char's Rebellion, Second Neo Zeon War) and UC0099 (Moon Crisis). The main line is the top-secret plan of the Earth Federation Army, describing the story of the war in the universe again in order to compete for the "Laplace Box". The TV animation of the same name will begin broadcasting on April 3.
