Voice actor Yuko Mizutani, who passed away on May 17, had voiced the older sister Sakura Anko in the animation "Chibi Maruko-chan". In the next animation, Sakura Anko's sister will be played by another veteran voice actor Machiko Toyoshima.

Born in 1971, Machiko Toyoshima is a senior voice actor of Aoni Agency. She formed a music group with then newcomer Houko Kuwashima in 1997 and performed many shows. Since then, with the continuous influx of new voice actors, Machiko Toyoshima, as a senior, has gradually reduced her work in animation dubbing. In recent years, she has been more familiar with the role of Zoro's senior sister Kuina in "One Piece".

With the passing of the original voice actress Yuko Mizutani, the dubbing job of the elder sister Sakura Anko in the "Chibi Maruko-chan" animation became vacant. For this reason, the production team, after weighing the pros and cons, invited Machiko Toyoshima to take over the performance. The new Sakura Anko sister voiced by her will officially debut in the "Chibi Maruko-chan" animation broadcast on June 5.
