CATDOLL: Popular series "SWORDGAI" animation to be broadcast in spring 2016

Monthly Heroes, a magazine famous for serializing heroic comics, announced today that its popular manga SWORDGAI will be adapted into an animation and will be released in spring 2016.

The animation is backed by the wealthy DLE company. Due to the special nature of the comics, it has attracted attention from many fields including comics and animation.

"SWORDGAI: Shoto Kai" tells the story of a boy named "Kai" who holds a magic sword in his right hand. He lost his right hand in an accident, so he installed the magic sword "Dead Dragon" passed down from generation to generation by swordsmiths on his right hand as a prosthesis. As a result, a cruel fate will strike him.

It is reported that the character design of the animated version of this work will be done by Keita Amamiya, who was once in charge of the character design for "Garo", and Toshiki Inoue, who is well-known for the "Kamen Rider" series.
