CATDOLL: The Chinese version of the light novel Nisio Isin's "Monogatari Series" is now available for pre-sale

Shanghai Literature and Art Publishing House is about to publish a series of light novels in the Monogatari series. The novels that have been confirmed to be available for pre-sale are: Bakemonogatari (Part 1) (Part 2), Kizumonogatari, Nisomogatsu (Part 1) (Part 2), Kizumonogatari, and Nekomonogatari (Black) (White). The translation should be the same as the Taiwanese version.

The Monogatari Series is a series of light novels written by Japanese light novel writer Nisio Isin and illustrated by Taiwanese illustrator VOFAN (real name Dai Yuanheng). The work is set in a small town in Japan in the early 21st century, depicting a high school boy "Araragi Koyomi" and the girls encountering many strange stories of Japanese folk legends. This work is different from ordinary strange stories. It does not focus on solving puzzles such as repelling monsters or finding the cause of the incident. The work mainly uses dialogue to give a deep description of the inner thoughts between the male protagonist and the girls. There are so many dialogues that the main events are almost completely interrupted, and many meta-settings and satires on society and other works are also added. The story also includes romantic comedy and detailed action elements. It can be said that the author has written everything he wants into the work. Therefore, the author self-evaluated this as his confident work, and also called it "a novel written for the purpose of being difficult to media."

Nisio Isin, born in 1981, is a Japanese novelist and manga scriptwriter. He studied policy at Ritsumeikan University but dropped out. In 2002, he won the 23rd Mephisto Award for his debut novel "Beheading Cycle: Blue Scholar and the Hilarious Follower", and officially debuted. His representative novels include the "Hilarious" and "Monogatari" series.

VOFAN is a Taiwanese cartoonist and illustrator from Tainan City. He graduated from the Department of Architecture of Chung Yuan Christian University in Taiwan and is currently studying at the Institute of Science and Art of Taipei National University of the Arts. His real name is Dai Yuanheng. His works are mainly illustrations, or colorful poems and paintings between comics and illustrations.
