CATDOLL: Japan's magical comics have triggered the resurgence of polygamy, destroying all worldviews and making it impossible for a man to have a son?

As we all know, the rate of unmarried people in Japan has been rising in recent years. The "low birth rate" is not only a challenge faced by Japan, but also by many other countries. Data shows that if the current "bachelor rate" in Japan continues, one in three men and one in five women will be lonely for life. Well... this is not a matter of indifference to me as a single person, but rather a very profound problem. However, in fact, there are some people in this world who are already married and have a happy family, but they are still not satisfied with it and hope to have several lovers. Yes, this is the so-called popular person! Speaking of this, there may be many moral guards who want to criticize me, but it is a recognized fact that there is no shortage of girls around tall, rich and handsome men. There are such people among my friends. They are obviously married but still very popular. This is a real phenomenon, and many countries around the world also recognize polygamy. Therefore, let us put aside the idea of ethical liberation for the time being and explore whether this "local concentration of love" is right or wrong.

However, as mentioned before, if a man can maintain a marriage relationship with multiple women, that is, "polygamy" can be permitted by law, then in a sense, the rising rate of lifetime unmarried people and the problem of declining birthrate can be solved to a certain extent, right? That's right, let us analyze this issue through a comic book just published this year, "Harem Marriage" (ハレ婚).

The protagonist of "Harem Marriage" is a woman with an unfaithful constitution who has dated many married people, but this was not her original intention. Maezono Koharu has dated three men in Tokyo, but each of them has concealed the fact that he already has a wife. In other words, Koharu has been deceived repeatedly. Therefore, Koharu, who is tired of being unloved, no longer trusts men and decides to return to her hometown where she has not been for four years. But what she never expected was that her hometown adopted a polygamous system called "harem marriage" due to the declining birth rate and sparse population. This is simply unimaginable for Koharu, who is ashamed of unfaithfulness. After returning to her hometown and learning the truth, Koharu said: "This city is full of perverted men who are lustful." However, at this moment, the mysterious man, Ryunosuke Date, appeared in front of Koharu. Ryunosuke proposed to Koharu, hoping that she could become his "third wife." Of course, Koharu definitely wanted to refuse... But because of the unavoidable reasons, Koharu was forced to become Ryunosuke's third wife. There is no need to explain the difficulties that Xiaochun had to bear during this process. The whole process can be described as "lightning fast".

It is already quite difficult for a man and a woman to live under the same roof. Even couples with a good relationship are bound to have conflicts and frictions. As for Koharu, not to mention that she has no emotional foundation with Ryunosuke, she also has to deal with two other wives every day, which is undoubtedly adding insult to injury. The first lady is named Date Yuzu, a queen hottie with a proud personality. Although she has a cute side that her words suddenly turn into a country accent when she is excited, she is generally a passionate woman who matches her appearance. The second lady is named Date Madoka, and unlike Yuzu, she is a very calm and composed woman. However, behind this steadiness is more of a dark side that is hard to see through and touch, and it is very difficult to get along with her. Finally, there is Ryunosuke who becomes her husband. Koharu can imagine the hardships she will face in the future...

There are indeed many issues behind polygamy, but the most critical one is "sex". According to the feelings of ordinary people, it is definitely unacceptable for the person they love to have physical contact with other opposite sexes. The same is true for the girls in "Harem Marriage". In the work, when the four people held a wedding ceremony, Yuan whispered to Ryunosuke who had just exchanged a vow kiss with Yuzu: "I don't want to kiss you who just kissed another woman." This is... embarrassing. As for "sex", the work adopts a "rotation system". Ryunosuke personally visited the dormitories of Yuzu, Yuan, and Koharu. Koharu was surprised by such a system and shouted: "You think it's conveyor belt sushi!"

Finally, let's take a look at the character of Ryunosuke. For Ryunosuke, all three wives are indispensable. His life is like a journey with no end. With such a "cynical" attitude, he needs a companion on the journey. Just like the protagonist of an RPG game needs to find comrades such as "monks", "magicians" or "fighters" on the journey. It can only be said that Koharu has embarked on a road of no return full of disasters...

So where will their bizarre married life go, and whether the "harem marriage" system will be recognized in Japan in the future, these are still unknown. But one thing is certain, that is, if polygamy is really realized, the competitiveness of unpopular people will be even lower. The rich and handsome men marry three wives and four concubines, and the otakus can only rely on paper towels at home... Alas, reality is always so cruel.
