CATDOLL: The author of Dream Drawing: The first "Dream Chasing and Monster Hunting" comic competition of YouYaoQi has come to an end

The comic contest held by China's original comic platform "YouYaoQi" has come to an end. Eight categories, twelve awards, and fourteen winning works have all been announced. The winning authors can receive a prize of up to 30,000 yuan and sign contracts with YouYaoQi and Japan Jianxuexing. MYstery Luo Mu has won the "Tianwen Kadokawa Special Award" and the "International Manga Award" in the Japan Kadokawa Comics Newcomer Competition. His entry "Wu Chang Dao" is a gorgeous and imposing manga, which can be said to be a representative of modern manga. The bold composition, vivid character portrayal, deconstruction and innovation of traditional mythological characters conquered many readers and finally won the comprehensive award.

"The Gatekeeper" is by Xiao Xinyu, a new generation cartoonist who has won the Newcomer Award of Japan's Shueisha weekly comic "YOUNG JUMP". This work is of high standard in terms of lines, composition and the shock of action scenes. It is an excellent comic that has reached the artistic level and also won the honor of the Youth Comics Gold Award.

_Hao Duo Chong's work "Meat-like Zodiac" won the Four-frame Picture Book Award. The "cute" elements are added to reshape the image of the twelve zodiac signs, making their personalities more distinct, supplemented by a witty and interesting storyline. It is easy, bright and attractive to read, and is also a bold innovation of traditional culture.

In addition, three works, namely the illustration-style comic "Ghost Blade", the novel and funny comic "Billion Tons of Accident", and the horror comic "Ghost Tomb Talk" with outstanding atmosphere, won special awards. The special award is an award added after careful selection by the jury and the editorial department to encourage works with outstanding achievements in certain aspects. We hope that they will continue to work hard and create better and excellent works.

The competition was officially launched on May 15, 2014, and lasted for eight months, receiving more than 2,000 entries. In addition to the public readers' votes, many famous Chinese and Japanese cartoonists, such as Matsui Eigen, the editor-in-chief of "Saint Seiya", and Yu Yanshu, the "King of Youth" in Chinese comics, were invited to serve as professional judges. After four comprehensive review stages, including auditions, comments from public judges, monthly ticket points, and review by professional judges, the competition was divided into eight categories, namely, comprehensive category, boys' comics, girls' comics, short stories, four-frame picture books, best painting skills, best storyboards, and special awards added by the jury. Finally, 14 outstanding award-winning works were selected from more than 2,000 comics.
