When it comes to the word "otaku", most women may have some negative impressions. So what about comic otakus who like comics? Recently, a Japanese media conducted an online survey and obtained the following results from 159 female office workers aged 22 to 34. Question: What do you think of comic geeks? Regarding this question, 53.2% of the people said yes, and 46.8% said no. The number of people who agreed exceeded half. Among the reasons given by those who agree, the following two reasons account for the majority: One is that they also like comics. They think it is no problem to find a man who can talk about the same topics with them, and it would be even better if they like the same type of people. Another reason is that they hope to have comics recommended to them. This type of people said that they rarely read comics, and it is difficult for them to find interesting comics on their own, so it is very good for someone to recommend comics to them. On the other hand, the main reasons given by women who disagree with manga otaku are that they should graduate from manga when they grow up and that they cannot accept it physiologically. The former believes that manga is for children and they should read more profound books when they grow up. The latter expresses their complete opposition to manga otaku. |
