CATDOLL: TV animation "Heavy Weapon" latest promotional illustration released

Previously, we reported that the TV animation "Heavy Arms", adapted from the light novel of the same name written by Kamachi Kazuma, the author of the popular series "A Certain Magical Index", and illustrated by Nagira, will be broadcast this fall. Today, the official released the latest promotional images and production list of this work. The supervision of this work will be served by Watanabe Takashi, who has produced works such as "Slayers" and "Shakugan no Shana", and the animation production will be handed over to JCSTAFF.

"Heavy Weapon" is a light novel published by ASCII Media Works on October 10, 2009. Eight volumes of the single volume have been released so far. The official abbreviation of this work is "HO", which is the second long work of Kamachi Kazuma after "A Certain Magical Index". The story of this work takes place on the future Earth where the form of war and the world situation have changed drastically. It tells the story of a student named Quenser who aims to become a designer of a super-large weapon "OBJECT" and goes to the battlefield in person. There, he meets the pilot of OBJECT, the girl named "ELITE" Melinda, and after a battle, he and his partner Heivia fight against OBJECT together...
