CATDOLL: The comic "Daytime Rain" will be adapted into a live-action movie

Morita Tsuyoshi will star in the film "Himei no Yu (ヒメアノ~ル)" directed by Yoshida Keisuke and adapted from the manga by Furuya Minoru. He will challenge himself to play the serial killer Morita Shoichi. In addition, Hamada Gaku will play the ordinary man Okada, and Satsukawa Aimi will play the heroine Abe.

"Daytime Rain" is a Japanese manga about school bullying and distorted life, written by Minoru Furutani.

The story begins with an ordinary cleaner, telling the story of a distorted life caused by school bullying and the interweaving of many ordinary, unique and even abnormal lives. The narrative style is plain but tense and intense, and the character portrayal is profound and absurd. It is a comic masterpiece with great tension.

Serial killings, mental distortion, deception, stupidity, innocence, neurosis, even lumbar disc herniation and hemorrhoids are all key words in this comic, but the most important one is "school bullying". This common phenomenon that may exist in any civilized society may change the life trajectory of some people and create unusual personalities such as criminals, cowards and schizophrenia.

Furuya Minoru's realistic and delicate painting style perfectly depicts this real and unusual world. It turns out that there are so many helpless, frightening and sad life stories around us in our daily lives.
